* What is a KSSN? Why do I need one and where can I find one?
A KSSN is a Korean Social Security Number. Lots of Korean games use these in order to prevent foreigners from registering to their game. Using a KSSN that is not yours is illigal, and therefore it is forbidden to talk about it in the forum. Please discuss the matter of KSSNs in Private Messages.

Yes. Each KSSN can have a maximum of 3 registered accounts.

* I’m getting an error when I try to complete my registration!
Make sure you are using Internet Explorer to avoid unnecessary errors. Also make sure you have clicked the button next to your ID to check if it’s available. Your password has to include letters and numbers. And don’t forget to select a secret question from the list and type a secret answer.

Install errors

* When I click the "download" link on the C9 official homepage, it doesn’t do anything. It just seems to reload the page but not start the download.
You need to have Internet Explorer 32 bit to download it from the official website. You can download the game directly from our own website without IE 32bit: http://www.continentoftheninth.info/DownloadsGame.html

* How am I supposed to install it when everything is in Korean?
Use common sense. The buttons are the same as on any other program installer. Basicly: bottom right button is Close and the button to the left of Close is OK. When you see "C:/HanPurple" it means the directory where it will install the game. You are advised to just accept all default settings.

* It gives me an error saying "Not enough space on harddisk"!
Simply, your don’t have enough room on your harddisk. This game takes up about 4 GB. Try cleaning out your computer, delete files and programs you no longer use/need.

* While installing, it gives me a message that a file is missing or corrupted.
Seems something went wrong with your download, this can happen sometimes. Redownload the install files.

* When I visit the hangame website, it asks me to install weird programs like "???" and "ClientKeeper KeyPro". Do I need those?
Yes, you need to download them. Without those programs your game might not work.

Running errors

* When I start the launcher, it just freezes before I can login, and doesn’t react anymore. This happens every time I launch it.
1. Go to Start > Program Access and Settings > Change or delete programs. Delete the following program:
2. Open your Internet Explorer again and visit the http://c9.hangame.com website, log in, and click the yellow flash Start button. Install any programs it asks you to.
3. Your launcher should now work again.

* I can’t access the launcher or the game website with IE. It just opens a blank page.

* After clicking the Start button on the launcher, this error or a Gameguard error (error 153) pops up. I’m using Windows 7.
1. Download the file named GameGuard.des here: http://www.mediafire.com/?ptglmgjj0rc
2. Make a copy of this file, put one at the GameGuard Folder and one at C9 game folder.
3. Overwrite any GameGuard.des files with the download one on the folders above.
4. Run the game.

* I’m getting a Gameguard:114 error at startup! After that it links me to this page.
Add GameMon.des to your firewall exceptions.
Another solution: Install C9 on another harddisk, let it fully patch, and then copy it to your current harddisk.

Add the Gameguard files to Kaspersky exclusion. If it still doesn’t work, try deleting the Gameguard folder and let it redownload with the automatic patches.

After you install the game, don’t change your System Local language. If you did, change it back. If it still doesn’t work after you change it back, reinstall the game.

* I’m getting a "Failed to patch [-3012]" error
Sometimes this happens. Just restart your launcher until it works, or try starting the game from the hangame website (by clicking the yellow START button on the website).

* When I try to start the game, it never seems to end loading, or crashes without an error.

Ingame errors

* I can’t enter any dungeons or arena anymore. The little blue/yellow bar above my exp bar is empty too.
The blue/yellow bar is your stamina. Once it reaches 0 you can’t enter any dungeons or arena’s anymore. This bar refills daily at 7 AM Korean time.

* I’m lvl 10, and I can’t enter any dungeons or arena anymore. I still have enough stamina. This blue error message comes up when I try to enter a dungeon
You have to upgrade your class first. You can do this at your skill trainer.

It means the other person is already in a party.

The game is only available in Korean. Noone knows when it will come out in english or IF it will even come out in english.

We either use common sense to understand what’s going on, or we type the Korean sentence into Google Translator. If you have played other MMORPGs before, it’s pretty easy to understand most of the things.

Type "/w Charactername Message" to pm someone. For example: "/w DarkAshelin Hello!". You can also type "/r" to reply to someone that has pmed you.

You can find a questlist here. Find your quest by searching for the questname or reward. Use Google Translator to translate it. Also here are some tips:
Orange names on quests are NPC names.
Yellow names are collectables.
Blue names are monsters.
Green names are Dungeons.
